OMG! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GOLDFISH BOWL! Who on Earth sold you this set up? Take everything back including the fish and demand your money back on EVERYTHING! Then get a basic book on fish care and read it. Then decide if keeping fish is for you. Keeping goldfish is an art and a hobby and is not the easiest thing to do. You must learn basic fish keeping and you my friend have a LONG way to go.

It needs a bigger tank ASAP. For 3 commet goldfish you need MINIMUM 75 gallons. If you don't get them in a bigger tank soon they are going to die. Rubbermaid tubs make good temporary fish tanks until you can get a real tank.

It is not going to have babies. Goldfish are not livebearers, they are egg layers. It is dying from being in too small of a tank. Ammonia will(already has it sounds like) build up VERY fast and is VERY toxic. You NEED to get those fish into something bigger ASAP!!!!

Well it is abit small. But I don't know what is a gallon, as I'm from australia, we use the term Litres. But you should get about 40 litres. Thats big enough-coz I have a 40 Litre tank and I keep about 10 comets bigger than your pointer times 2. And to answer your other q, the fish is just resting. fish go to the bottom and sleep on the rocks like that - don't be worried.

It sounds like it might be dying. A 1gallon bowl is not big enough to support 3 fish. is there a filter? Do you have an air pump running? Did you acclimate the fish to the tank when you got him, or just dump him in? sounds like he could be in shock.

he might live, but he might not. 50/50 chance, I'd say.

Maybe the fish is a her and it's going to have little baby fish. Then again your fish may just be sick or it might be what your feeding it. You should separate the other 2 comet fish and see how that works out.

For starters, your tank is way to small. You should have no more than one fish in a one gallon tank.
