Remember when Vince decided to have a completely unscriped boxing tournament in WWE(in the Federation years). Alot of people got injured. Seeing the spike in popularity of Pride fighting and UFC, and the fact that some wwe superstars are actually skilled in it, do you think they would ever try it again with something like Ultimate fiegting or MMA? Mabe where the winner faced Chuck Liddell or Tim Sylvia at WM24?

I remember when they did the Brawl. Unfortunately, it came at such a great cost, as WWE were hyping "Dr. Death" Steve Williams as this big tough guy, making him appear to be the favorite. So when he lost relatively early in the competition, it hurt his credibility. Then, when the winner (Bart Gunn) faced Butterbean at Wrestlemania and got knocked out in less than one round, it took away HIS tough-guy credibility. Thus comes the problem when you mix "real fighting" with wrestling. Just like when Daniel Puder "almost" beat Kurt Angle in a shoot fight on Smackdown, the risks run too great and could be too damaging to the loser's credibility, especially if the winner was legitimately pushed as a tough guy. For that reason, I don't see that form of collusion between WWE and an MMA company.
