Listen, if he is verbally abusing you, then get away from him. It is a control thing with him. You deserve much better. Also, if there are children involved, then that type of environment is not healthy for them either. You don't want your son growing up thinking this is how a woman should be treated, right? And you don't want your daughter to grow up thinking that this is normal for a woman to be treated this way, right? Then, do it for them. Get a lawyer, file for custody and be done with it. If this man truly loved you, he would not be emotionally abusing you. It's a control thing, not love.

Im sure it is very hard for you and your self esteem has been shot considering he has been verbally abusing you but there is someone out there who will treat you like a queen..do not settle for someone that treats you badly! I understand you want to keep your family but do you think it is good for the family if you go back to him? It will be hard for you but move on..he let you know he wanted to.

Sometimes it does take being with a jerk to see what a good man is. I know he is your husband but a good husband would lift you up and not put you down. Do not let your kids see him treat you bad it does affect them forever. Do the right thing for you and the kids and leave.

You haven't given much information, but do whatever you can legally to protect yourself, NOW.

The best way to get over him is to get your life going in a positive direction, and don't look back. Think back on the marriage as a nightmare you're waking up from.
