He and the Chargers will also have a new offensive coordinator and as the off season continues, undoubtedly, there will be other changes with the team.
Do you think he will be better now that he has lost a BIG GAME or will he end up in QB GRAVEYARD like SOOO MANY OTHERS that were heralded as the next god of QBs?
The most recent one that I can remember that was with San Diego is Ryan Leaf.
He is one that is now in QB GRAVEYARD praying to be resurrected.

I would like to see Rivers play in an offense without LT or Gates. There two players will always take the pressure off a quarterback, so I don't see why there would be any reason to worry about his performance next year. Even with a new offensive coordinator.

Philip Rivers is a good quarterback, and i think he'll be fine. Besides, when your running back is LT, you dont have a whole lot to worry about. They just need some wide recievers. Keenan McCardells glory days were in Tampa Bay, and Eric Parker is unimpressive. They'll go into the draft for one, probably Ted Ginn ot Sidney Rice.

By the way, Leaf isnt waitiing to be ressurected. He's a college coach; a quaterbacks coach for his alma mater I believe.

Doesn't matter, as long as Marty the (Cockmunch) is still coaching the team, they will never ever win a playoff game. 5-13 in the playoffs for his career, enough said. He should be doing the commercial on tv saying playoffs, playoffs, you want to talk about playoffs.

I mean he could have played a better game, but he is not the one that burned a timeout on a stupid challenge in the 4th quarter. If they would have had that TO at the end of the game they could have had a closer field goal to tie the game.

To "JJ" how in the heck did Marty Schottenheimer lose the game???? You sound like a stupid fan that likes to blame the coach. The players lost the game dummy. Not the coach.

rivers didnt lose the game marty did. it wont hurt him 1 bit as long as he has the best player in the last 3o years to hand off to. look at it this way in his first year as a starter his team won the division and had the best record.
