I got 2.74 mi
b) Calculate how far east or west she ends up relative to her starting point.
I got 10.84 mi
c) Calculate how far is she overall from her starting point (straight line distance)
I got 11.18 mi
d) She points back toward her starting point. What direction is she point? (Be clear and exact)
And lastly I got 75.81 degrees east of south

Well, first we have to pretend the earth is flat.
The first line should be drawn from (0,0) to (-6/sqrt(2), 6/sqrt(2)) or (-4.24, 4.24).
The second line should be horizontal and end up at (-8.24, 4.24)
the third will end at (-8.24-3*.866, 4.24-3*.5), or (-10.84, 2.74).
so,
a) from the last point above, you are correct
b) this looks also correct
c) yes, this is definitely correct
d) Well, I got 75.80, but 75.81, but that's probably close enough!

I verified all your answers. I'd suggest to be sure to put the directions on 1 and 2. Teachers can be picky about those things.

I just drew a picture (ending up with three right triangles too) and tried the same problem. I got the same exact answers, so it looks right to me.
