I saw the doctor yesterday and he did a check. He said that I have a full cervix. But my pelvis is softening. The cramping is sharp pains in my pelvic area along with a backache in my lower back. The top of my stomach (near where my ribs meet in the center) is also sore. Since I saw the doctor, the cramping has gotten worse. I will admit that I am somewhat of a wimp, but this is my first baby and it has been a complicated pregnancy.

Call the doctor. There should be someone on call at any time as women go into labor all the time! It is possible that when you had the exam the doctor stirred things up in there causing you to go into labor. It is also possible that you are having Braxton-Hicks contractions that are common late in pregnancy. In any case call your doctor. Just the act of calling and asking will help you feel better. If you have had complications a good practitioner would want you to call.

well, im just starting my 33rd week, and ill have to admit im in the same boat. i dont see my dr. until wend. but, i have noticed alot of pain, but my feels as though it is coming from the cervix, i have asked my dr. about it so much i think she's getting annoyed lol, but it really feels like the baby is trying to escape. i am a wimp to a point, i wont cry if i stub my toe, but the feeling isnt pleasurable type wimp, and i have been to the dr. twice for a "preterm labor" scare, so i know how you feel, i suggest trying to lie down and relax, i went for my usual mile long walk today, and that just worsend the pain i was in, but after i took a little nap the pain went away, so like i said, lie down, nibble on something light, and hope the cramping goes away...good luck!!!

You may be experiencing "Braxton-Hicks" or false labor. Is your pain constant or does it come and go? For the latter, time the distance between pains. You are genuinely concerned, go check with your doctor again to make sure, for your baby's sake and yours. Good luck and God bless.

Has this started since you saw the doctor yesterday? I would definitely CALL your doctor right now and tell him/her what is going on.

It could just be Braxton-Hicks labor. Call your doctor and see what he thinks just to be sure.
