You can check up on the score on the team websites instantly, It jsut seems pointless. I understand the TV thing for indecency, but how bad could it get on radio? Cursing? If you're listening to a hockey game, you've probalby heard it....

I know CBC put Don Cherry on a delay for some comments he made, and it was a joke. On radio live, there is no delay that is why some people go to games and listen to the radio for play by play. On TV most signals go through satelite so there is anywhere from a 3-8 second delay. If it is on the internet, then there is a delay to get the feed from the home broadcaster and put it into the NHL webpage. I don't think there is a set delay for any set reason, except the technical delays.

They have to do the Station IDs if you mean regular radio and they don't want you to miss action. So they delay so they can get their crap in without you missing the important parts.
