is there anyway to temporarily stop your period while you have it, or make it finish faster

This can be done through the use of birth control pills, where you start the next pack before finishing the placebo week...but this isn't something you should do all the time. It's just something that is used if your period comes at an inconvenient time--wedding, vacation, etc.

Another option is to speak to your doctor about progesterone. But again, this wouldn't be a constant Rx unless you had a condition.

Birth control hormones will make your periods lighter and/or shorter. "The Pill" for instance. Ask your physician for a prescription or your parent/guardian if you are under age.
