In short - yes you can.
First things first 'cherry popped' is a very vulgar way of describing when your hymen is broken, it is normally used by immature boys who believe breaking your hymen is the same as taking your virginity and regard that as some sort of trophy – it's a pretty offensive way to address your own body.
Some girls aren't born with hymens at all and you may have a very different hymen to what you might think or what you might consider normal, although people say your hymen breaking is painful that isn't always the case, it is just as likely to not be painful or even be pleasurable, you may have broken your hymen without knowing.
You can see if your hymen is in tact or not by simply looking, try sitting comfortably and using a mirror to look at your vulva (external part of your genitals) to see the vaginal opening.
The hymen is different from girl/woman to girl/woman but usually if in tact it will look like a ring of flesh around the opening to your vagina; where as if broken it will look like flaps of skin around the vaginal opening.
There is a good site that shows images, not photos, of the hymen so you know what to look for here - http://www.healthystrokes.com/hymengallery.html - if you want to see photos then try this site - http://www.the-clitoris.com/f_html/hymen.htm

Your hymen (cherry) is an extremely thin membrane that very seldom even lasts until your first sexual experience. Most women loose them in childhood from a fall or some other trauma, some in their early teen years from tampon usage, and few from their first sexual experience. Regardless, I wouldn't think there is any reason to really know if it is gone. If you are wondering because of boys, I can promise a full grown man wouldn't be able to tell let alone a young man.....unfortunately, few know that much about the female body!

If you bled when having sex for the first time then you most likely torn the thin layer of skin, popped the cherry. A Dr. can tell also

When a penis enters your vagina, you have lost your virginity or "popped your cherry" as you like to call it. However, the hymen may already be torn beforehand due to regular exercise and activities.

myself personally, i never bled the first time i had sex..the hymen can break just by riding a bicycle. [the seat]. i asked the doc why i didn't bleed, and he said some people don't. lol it's not an actual thing that pops, just a thin layer of skin. :)

when you eat an ice cream sundae, if the cherry is nice a round, it's probably not popped.
