No - they contain H2S (which is the smell) in very small quantities, sometimes a little CO2 but the bulk of it is methane (which has no smell).
Interestingly, H2S is more toxic than carbon monoxide - however the human nose is so sensitive to H2S that you would definately smell anywhere that had close to the lethal concentration. From about 2 miles away

no , just basic comic reaction, i did that in a picture house and a very quite love sceen was showing ( the lads and i had been on the beer before we went ) any way it nearly broke the sound barrier, the next min there was a sea of faces looking back so quick as a flash i turned round too, looking at a courting couple up to some hanky panky boy did they leave fast
