Actually based on the wording of the question, it could be either "Watching You" or "Kids Say the Darnedest Things" (which was done by Tammy Wynette, not Loretta Lynn.)
Watching You:
My four year old said a four letter word
It started with S and I was concerned
So I said son, now where'd you learn
To talk like that
Kids Say the Darnedest Things:
You never know what they learn in school
Or what they're thinking of
My first grader just said a four letter word
And it sure wasn't love
I'm betting it's "Watching You," since "Kids" comes from 1973.
