Detoxing is so healthy and since your not starving yourself I wouldn't worry about it, esp. since it's only a week with no protein. But, you may feel other things (like a little sick feeling or flu like) and I wouldn't worry about that either, it's quite common since detoxing is releasing poisons from your body as well as from fat cells. Just keep everything in perspective and always consult with your Dr., good luck.

Without adequate protein, yes, your hair will fall out.
You see it lots with people that have had gastric bypass because they cant consume enough protein.
If it's for just one week I wouldn't worry if I were you...but any more than that and you'll start noticing it.

your hair wont fall out because of eating healthy things like fruits and veggies. fish is also very healthy. you will probably help your hair. your hair is more likely to be damaged eating the "normal" american diet of burgers and fries.

yeah--you need protein each day for you hair to stay healthy--even if your hair doesn't start to fall out, it will turn brittle and really unhealthy-looking. also, your nails might start turning yellow, and your skin slightly grey--trust me, you need protein, its really bad for you not to eat it. that diet sounds like a sham.
