Because they are still close minded and racist people in the world. Not everyone has accepted that everyone can get along whether its socially or in relationships but you can't be bothered by what other people think do you or you will not be true to yourself.

I see alot of different answers here and I think most all of them make some good points.The thing that most people don't understand or at least don't take the time to look at is when you choose to date outside your race you may cause conflict or embarrassment to your family or friends.This may not be a big deal to some people but if you ask the family and friends what they think you may be surprised by the answer.The kids that are born from these relationships have a much more difficult time in society because of this.Mixed couples seem to be less accepted in groups or neighbor hoods because of the negative out look on interracial coupling.There are moral issues when it comes to your race.Its considered to be unethical and immoral to weaken your race.This is not meant to be negative in any way or to insult anyone but to date outside your race would be insulting to our parents and our heritage.No one ever looks back and thinks about where we came from.They always look forward and see only what they want at the time to make them happy.Its our responsibility to preserve each of our races.

People tend to hate what they don't understand. My parents always taught me to see beyond a race or a skin color. Some people were brought up to hate those different then them. I'm afraid it will probably be this way for a long time to come.

Some people have been wronged by a person of that race so they hold a gruge wich I think is wron. and some people are so stubborn and they refuse to open up their minds to other possiblitys

I think a lot of it is upbringing. Hopefully as time goes on, each generation will think less of it. We are all just people and race should not matter.

morals, people want their ethnicity to be exclusive only to their family. I'm afraid it's gonna be awhile before people are gonna accept mixing races.

because there is the media, they only report on what they want to make a buck..........then there is the younger ones who will not let race go............its.....im better and i know it...........to remove this hate, we need to start with the young ones and teach them, color does not matter.

They just can't stand seeing anyone being happy. They're just as shallow and moronic as their great grandparents were.
