To quote Einstein
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

Did you know that Copernicus was a member of the clergy, and it wasn't until Gallo that his work was considered heresy? In fact there were many in clergy who were interested in his work and supported him completely.

Religion tells us how to live our lives. It tells us how to treat our fellow man. It gives us reasons to help others, and offers us great hope.

Science tells us how the world works. It tells us what happens when we mix two liquids or what happens when you drop a ball.

The two complement each other. They do not diminish the other.

I think religion is rather like a tool than a finite product; so it's how you use it and what you use it for which makes it good, wrong or evil. (For example one can use a hammer for building, demolishing and killing equally.)

Same thing goes for science too: science is a tool - but is the rich who benefit from it; not me, not any scientist and very likely neither you, because we are simply too poor to do something to make science work for us directly (to make us money).

While science is a rich man's tool, religion is a political one; rougly speaking, religion could be used to keep men staying too long in pubs and keep women to became prostitutes ... or it could be used to make wholly wars, like the crusades or like that terrorism.

Religion however has something special: it works only on believers - by contrast with any other tools. So, it is by non believing how you can reduce the religion-based manipulators to impotence.

And yes, a real museum of religions could be worth in this soft battle; that's what that is essentially: a battle; for social positions.

By the way: did you ever thought it's religion what legitimates monarchies and, if religion was right, than any monarchy must be an absolute one? How about parliaments then?

Argue with this man's logic:

"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

Albert Einstein

He often mentioned God and when asked, confessed he was a deeply religious man - not of the more common or organized religions, but deeply religious none the less.
