Lots a rumors. The ones from NBA Radio on Sirius had him either starting last Thursday at home against Indiana, Sunday afternoon vs Dallas, or Monday night vs New York.

The reason I spell it out like that is this: (1) you can't trust rumors, (2) Shaq'll play when Shaq bloody-well feels like playing, and (3) if the reports that he's going through full-contact 5-on-5 practices are true, then think it through yourself and make yer best guess about when Shaq'll be up for the game.

I didn't think he'd play against Indy. They were down about 4 guys and playin' in Miami. Who'd need Shaq? (Ah, hindsight, it was a close one.) The next game was at Philly on Friday. Who'd need Shaq? (Ah, hindsight, an OT loss.) Next is this afternoon's nationally televised championship rematch, with a rare home back-to-back, with an extra half day (afternoon to tomorrow evening) to rest up.

I think if he feels alright at shoot around, he plays today; but, there's a very real chance he'll give it a few more games.

If he's available in your league (and, if you can use him in light of his drawbacks), pick him up now in any format. If you've got him in a roto league, don't start him until he plays a few games, if only to get up to playing shape. If a H2H league, play him if you've got the room, sit him if you'd have to bench a solid performer in order to squeeze him into your lineup.

-Regards!

If you're talking about Shaq, supposedly inside of 1 week, Mavericks game was the target date.
