It depends on the individuals involved and the connection between the people, but yes men and women can be just friends without wanting more because most people like having friends of a different gender. Besides, I have plenty of male friends and I consider them as my brothers. As long as the people respect each other and not ruin their bond, then yes men and women can be friends.

Yes men and women can be friends without wanting more, but usually that's when there is absolutely no physical attratction or sexual curiosity between the two of them. Otherwise, the temptation could ignite something and the relationship will change into something more.

Sure. But it helps if the gal & guy each already have a mate with whom they are deeply in love.

Females seem to find it easy to have male friends without feeling sexual attraction, but an unattached male in a friendship with an attractive female ... well ... do you believe there's any truth in the stereotype that has guys thinking about sex all the time?

Yes they certainly can. I have had female friends all my life and with some we wanted more, and with some we were content to remain good friends and never had romantic feelings for each other. I've actually lost a few girlfriends because their insecurity and twisted little minds wouldn't allow them to believe that my female friends were just that. So, my girlfriends are long gone, but my friends remain. Who's loss?

For sure. My best friend is a man. I'm married and my husband doesn't mind that my best friend is a dude. But my best friend is more like a brother to me than a best friend. And neither of us have ever wanted anything more. Granted, we are both odd people to begin with. But he is a devout Catholic and I am a devout Baptist . Neither of us would even think of an affair.

YES! I hang out with my hubby's friends and trust me we are all JUST FRIENDS!!!! Alot of times guy/girl friendships dont work out because one wants to pursue something and is only being a friend to get to the next level. those arent real friends anyways.. So yes they can be... but unfortunately some just dont work out right!

It has been done but I think it may become difficult if one side has feelings and the other does not. Things tend to go that way. I have male friends but I don't spend lots of time w/them.

i like to think so but it don't usually work like that.. Usually if a man and woman become good friends it is because they have an attraction between them and before ya know it the friend thing goes a bit further....
