if you go and take a warm shower, not bath. and they go away, then it is false, but if they worsen, and come close together, then go to the hospital. have you dilated? mom of seven

Call your Midwife now, pressure or a feeling to push or have a bm is a sign baby is coming, now!!! 38 weeks is by no means early!

You could possibly be in early labor. That sounds like early labor. If you wanna get it to pick up....have sex and take a hot shower as hot as you can stand the water...let the water beat on your belly and back. It usually speeds the contractions up. Keep us posted and Good Luck!

Sounds like it. If the contractions are regular (even if far apart) and painful, and don't go away when you lie down and rest, you are in early labor! It could take days or weeks to go into active labor, however.

Good luck, and congratulations!!

If you are having true labor pains, they will not stop and will not get better but only worse. Also if walking makes them better they are probably braxton hicks. Call a doctor or midwife to be safe though!!

Sounds like your getting ready to go into labor, but if these pains and pressure keeps going on I would call labor and delivery nurse, they may want to check you out. Sometimes this "little" contractons actually are working contractions, so you could be diatating.

You very well could be in labor, always remember your baby can come 2 weeks before or two weeks after your due date and thats considered on time.

Sound like it. Why don't you call your midwife and talk with her?
