The best remedy for Kidney stones is flushing the system with water. Just plain water, 1 gallon per day. I had kidney stones, and water really helped me. There is no medication for the stones, the only remedy is laser. But even that takes a while to get out of the system and it has to come out with the pee itself. If the pain is unbearable, then take some painkillers, and drink a lot of water,Good luck

The beer, the water, avoiding caffeine and soda’s are great ideas. Next is ..walking, when you walk when you feel the pain it stimulate the urethra’s muscles and helps the stones to pass…it is a hard one to do. One woman walked for an 8 hours on and of to releases the stones…a way to go if you have no insurance. Save the stone and get it them analyzed as to see which foods you can avoid. Vitamin C 2000 mg every hour for 4 hours in a row until or when your bowel tolerates the amount. Another remedy is to make a tea from corn silk, horse tail, gravel root, juniper berries and pipissewa also called Prince’ Pine. Another reedy is to use lobelia tincture (3-4 drops) and Mexican wild yam tincture (15 drops) in hot water to relax the urethras, relieve pain and hasten the passing of the stones. Endure...and never give up.

I no longer have them. Yrs. of experience.. 1. I don't drink caffeine of any kind. I do drink decaf. coffee. What your friend might try is this. Don't use bottled lemon juice.. but squeeze fresh lemons into a glass. add a little water.. I agree it tastes bad.. drink it. Do it ever hr. or so.. for a day or two.. or when ever you can.. on top of that.. drink water.. Don't drink coke or pepsi..

I haven't had a stone in 2 yrs. .Had them for 15. My daughter in law told me about the lemon juice. I thought she was pulling my leg.. I had lythotripsy twice to break up my stones. Once I cut out caffeine and drank more water.. they were gone.. Don't forget the lemons..
