A two month old should not be needing a bigger car seat. You should be able to use the infant seat until about 9 or 10 months old. Just move the shoulder straps up higher so they are adequately securing her in.
I don't know what you've got in Ohio, but out here you cannot buy a second hand car seat from a retail outlet because of liability issues. Either get one from a relative, friend, or church.
Good luck.

If you choose to get a car seat second hand (like a lot of the respondants have advised), MAKE SURE you get proper installation instructions from the manufacturer for the particular model of car seat (craigs list, garage sale, friend or family or church). If a secondhand car seat is not properly installed due to lack of instructions, the effects could be deadly. Not to be alarmist or anything. If you are on state health insurance, for example, they have programs for free carseats. I live in Massachusetts and have health care through the state. There are programs for free carseats, bike helmets and lots of other child and baby safety gear. Good luck

I am assuming you have a rear facing infant seat? A baby needs to stay rear facing until she is 1 year old AND 20 lbs. Check the instructions (look it up online or call the manufacturer if you don't have them) to find out how to adjust the straps.
Call your local hospital and ask if they have or know of a car seat program. Your county health department should have some sort of program as well. I did a quick Google search for Ohio car seat program and found some promising information. If you're in Central Ohio try http://www.co.franklin.oh.us/Board_of_Health/CarSeatStations.pdf
It isn't recommended to use a 'used' car seat because you don't know if it's been involved in a wreck or if it's been recalled. *If it's been in a wreck it may not be safe.*
That being said, car seats often come up on Freecycle.

Well, I live in western PA, so I am not sure what you have out there. But we have Catholic Charities. they require proof of Income. And we have Freecycle
that is an yahoo group that gives things away for free. I got my spare carseat really cheap (I knew the girl. the seat was like new and had all straps and instructions) through Butler PA Cafe, which is yet another yahoo group. see if there are any groups like this in your area.

oh man here in New Mexico they have a program that gives car seats away to low income families. ok this might help you Licking County Health Department's Child Safety Seat program....I don't know if this is nearby where you are but if not I'm sure they can give you referances as to who can help you. This establishment gives out free car seats to low income families in the Ohio region I believe. Call Allison Davis, Health Educator (740) 349-6496 for more information.
good luck to you.....

Call the county health and human services department. There also may be an organization like one here in Minnesota that gives car seat education and then you get a car seat for free, but you have to qualify financially, I think. I think it was run by (or a partner to) the Safe Kids Coalition. Check out their Web site too. Good luck. http://www.safekids.org/index.html

Definitely try good will.
You could also call your local police station to see if they have any and they'll even install them into your car.
And your child is only 2 months and already needs a new car seat?
