What causes us to itch?

..like those sudden little sharp itches you get on your back or leg

Generally just some irritation or over stimulation to the tip of the nerves. It is interesting to note, that the same nerves used to transfer the sensation of pain are the same ones that transfer the sensation of itching.

Take more shower. keep your body clean. Some special soaps will help too.
