Currently I have three male rosy barbs in an established 10 gallon tank. I'm looking to add a couple of tank mates and would like to find a good fitting fish that will get along with the semi-aggressive barbs. I have considered the Red Rainbow Shark, but I'm a little worried that these fish are too territorial and shy to get along with the Rosy Barbs which seem to be a lot more active than the Rainbow Sharks. Tiger Barbs seem too aggressive so I am thinking they aren't my best bet. I also like the Pictus Catfish, but I worry they are too big for the tank and for the Rosy Barbs. Does anyone with expertise on Rosy Barbs or Rainbow Sharks have any suggestions? Thanks!

I have mollies, zebra barbs, and guppies in with mine and they all get along fine. Be careful not to get too many fish in you tank. 10 gallons is not very big and you should have approx. 1 inch of fish per gallon of water.

rainbow shark should be ok, you could also try gouramis. giant danios, buinos aris tetras or a synodontis cat fish, i really wouldnt get more than one or two more fish though your barbs will get about 4 inches and the other fish are fairly sizable as well (3 to 6 inches) the pictus will definatly get to large for a 10, he gets around 10 inches by himself.
good luck and have fun
