When I was 18 years old my father made me go through the rigorous process of applying to the US Air Force Academy. He was a retired USAF officer. I was accepted and the final courtesy step was a private face to face interview in my own home with two on duty, regular USAF officers. This was at the height of the Vietnam War and I was not very keen about the morality of that war and also not very keen about getting killed for something I did not believe in. Needless to say, by vocalizing my true feelings to these men they put the kabash on my nomination. They wanted to hear a patriotic speech from me and a rah rah cheer for the war.
I went on to university and even got a masters degree.Often i wonder how I would have done at the academy, in the USAF, and wish that I had that nice military retirement pension right now.

Mine was turning down an opportunity to go to a school to be a meteorologist back in 1983.I decided to go to another college close by to be with all my buddies. There I became a pot smoking failure.I lived in a dorm with one of my friends and all we did was smoke pot and play backgammon. My passion(besides animals) has always been the weather. When I was a kid I used to keep track of weather conditions in a daily log.It was my passion. To this day I know as much about the weather as some weather people do,(save the physics). But I wanted to be with my buddies so I could party.Worst mistake of my life!!!!

Mine was a full scholarship to a college that was founded in the Catholic tradition. I should've taken the scholarship and just ignored the Catholic part. Instead I paid my own way to a non-religious institution. Hmm now that I think about it, I still think I made the right choice. lol

i spent a lot of money on college, but didn't get a lot of good advice on where i should focus, so i changed majors a LOT and ended up with a lot of credits that didn't amount to much. it was a great opportunity to go to a great school and leave with some direction, instead now i'm going back to school (community college) at age 30 (and i'm not done paying off school from all those years ago).

What does your question mean. If your lover is keep asking means then he expect to know whether you miss him or not. If he tell one time you should tell 1000 of times u miss him thats called real love. If you really love him then keep surprising him with kind words

Oooooohh...that's a doozy!
I have never missed an opportunity...my regrets are that I took the risks and none of them ever worked out.
That's life I guess!

there are no such things as missed oppurtunities, they are just instances you may regret at first but other good things come out of them.
for example, no one would have probably ever listened to you before because with all your boring talk of property and land, you probably would have no friends. But due to this oppertuninty going to someone else, you have something to talk about, i mean, here I am, wasting my tme anwering your question
Good day to you sir
