Is light brown hair considered blond or brunette?

Ask your stylist for clarification. I knew a woman who was a cosmetologist, had hair that I thought was brown, and she said it was dark ash blonde.

Apparently, there's ash blonde and light ash brown. Fine line!

Light brown hair is still in the brunette family. It's light brunette, not dark brunette. But if your light brown hair has a lot of blonde tones in it, you could be at the border line between dark blonde and very light brown hair, the blonde amounts outnumbering the browns.

I have light brown hair also. I had blonde til I moved to Joysey at 17 yrs old. I know others might consider light brown brunette but mine is light brown with (natural) blonde highlights-So I stick with saying Light Brown. Good Luck on figuring this one out. I guess you can say whatever you wanna say. There are darker blondes also. So I have no clue anymore.

that really depends on how light or how dark the hair is.....i guess light brown would , to me, be a brunette...cause brown is in the same class as brunette regardless if it's light or not.

It's considered brunette, but the line between light brown & dark blonde is pretty fine... ask your stylist to show you a color chart next time you get a trim, then you'll know for sure what your color is.

Dirty blonde maybe. Because brunette mean dark brown. Personally, I'd just call it "light brown" rather than either of those.

If it is light brown then it is brunette. Hence the name light brown.
