Yes and I make sure I remind them of how much they hurt me and ruined my life. Honestly, it's really hard to hear the voice or see the person who hurt you but I think it might be a good idea to get closure. Find out why that someone is calling, maybe it is to apologize or something.
The best thing to do (from my experience) is to remain cool but not too closed off because then the other person will know that you were really hurt.
But don't let that person hurt you again. If that person wants to see you again or something, just turn him/her down. You don't need to have that drama in your life again.
Hope you're feeling better and remember- don't let that person hurt you again.

Yes, just before Christmas. I had not heard from him in over 20 years.
He had me make a choice between going to the Police Academy or him. Guess what I chose. Figured if he was making me chose between the job I wanted since childhood and him what else would he make me choose. Kinda weird hearing from him, said he never forgot me and was very sorry just a dumb "kid"at the time. What about you? Had to really look to find me though.

noone ever "broke my heart & destroyed my life" but i've gotten calls from people i never wanted to hear from again. sometimes you've got to be pretty blunt to get the point across that you've moved on. good luck!

Yes and my husband answered and gave him (ex) a piece of his mind! I was so thankful that I didn't have to speak to him (ex). I just really wish I could figure out how he'd gotten my #. I live 2 hrs away from him now and have a new life and he was so 5 yrs ago!

Yes and they called on my birthday and was oh I should take you out for your birthday and I was like okay. So I canceled my plans and waited around for them and they never showed! Then when I called they never answered or sent a text or email to say something happened. To this day I have never heard from them. They could be dead.... I hope not but who knows?? That sucks
