Can anyone tell me the route that planes fly to Cancun. Worries me that we will fly over so much ocean rather than land. Seen some routes that fly over the US coast and then fly down into Mexico. Going with My Travel if that makes a difference.

It seems you have fear of flying. By the way most airplane accidents happen when the plane is landing on departing so there is not a higher likelihood of having an accident (or surviving) if you are travelling over land or over sea.

A friend of mine was very afraid of flying so he enrolled in training provided by the airline (air france in this case) that explained to him everything you may ever want to know about airplanes and flying them. It seems that the main cause of fear is the feeling that you are not controlling the plane (and rightly so) and although knowing what is going on doesn't provide you with control of the plane (luckily for the rest of us) it does calm you down (apparently).

They will fly like most transatlantic flights. ie come in over canada then down the eastern coast of usa. They fly like this due to the curvature of the earth rather than straight line on a map.

try not to worry you are more likely to be hurt driving a Car than flying ...........thousands and thousands of checks are carried out each time a plane lands and takes off....... sit back and enjoy your holiday Mexico is a fantastic place was there a few year ago you will love it has a little bit of everything..
