Straight guys have the 'seven year itch'? Gay guys must have a 'two-year itch'?

Funny, I know straight people who can't seen to have a lasting relationship to save their lives and a gay man who has been with the same partner for 18 years. Anyone of any orientation can have an itch.

i've got been with my important different for over 30 years. i've got on no account cheated - and that i've got faith that he hasn't the two. Why go out for a hamburger whilst there's a filet mignon at living house? LOL You asked, "How do 2 adult males in love make it by jointly by an unfavourable society, faith, and existence?" i've got self assurance it extremely is genuine that gays have a demanding time with some aspects of society, faith, and so on. i've got self assurance having a existence long important different has made it much less complicated, not greater troublesome. Being jointly makes demanding situations much less complicated - and especially situations even exciting! - to fulfill.

Well if you think about it, most gay relationships start out by physical attraction. If that is what is holding your relationship together, it isn't going to last long because there is ALWAYS a more attractive guy out there. It is better to create a bond before letting sex get in the way, that way the relationship lasts longer, but it is hard to find a guy that is willing to do that.

I think there are Many that last longer. If they dont then that has to do with culture and societies expectations of certain people. Plus, so far as romantic-- well, that's up to the couple to try and follow through with. One day it will be easier to maintain a gay/lesbian/bisexual or other human/spiritual relationship w/o judgement.

Nah, Time has little to do with it. After nearly 7 years with mine here, the ones that I've seen actually last are the ones who take part in the community but actually invest time in each other instead of constantly making "the Bar" the main focus.

It's half and half with straight couples, and they have all kinds of built-in societal supports. The program that kept my parents together does not allow gay couples. Also, I think you'd see those numbers of couples staying together longer change drastically if you start seperating out by age range. Young people, regardless of orientation, are awfully fond of sowing wild oats.

what is the problem about loving one and having sexual relationships with other guys??? maybe we have to redifine the concept of a couple. We gay guys tend to criticize catholic and christian people but we want to be like they are. As sexual beings everyone (homo and straight) need diversity but the church and the christian education has set in our minds the idea of loyalty and just with one...Well i think it is possible for two mature gay men to have a wonderful relationship and having sexual relationships with other people. Why do we give so much importance to sex? Sex is just sex and a relationship is much more than just sex.

Straight guys??? HA HA. Where did you read that because straight guys don't last beyond the sex usually. It's a guy thing, not a gay thing.

I dont understand WHY you have this problem, I didn't. Mine lasted 8 years and the only reason we separated was because he died.

Perhaps you forgot the real reason you were together in the first place?

You are full of crap dude! And you have asked a similar question a few days ago. I know gay people who have been together sometimes even for 40.
