I don't have over 500 (yet) but I was just wondering if this is possible without deleting the song from your computer entirely.

Okay... knock it off! i'm 14 and i payed for this ipod with my own money that i earned for winning an essay contest! so quit! i don't care who u r, but u have no right to tell me who i am.

Yeah delete them from your computer but store them in itunes library OK.

Yes! Just open your itunes library and uncheck the songs you don't want on your ipod. Then sync your pod again. This allows you to keep the song on your computer, but not on the ipod. You can change up your songs whenever you like by unchecking the songs you don't want on your ipod and making sure the songs that you want to listen to on the ipod are checked.

no, just go into your computer insert ipod. click my computer.

which ever drive is ur usb drive go into it and copy the ones that can't fit and u want to stay. then once it's copied u can delete it from ur ipod and have the file on ur ipod.

Yes, because if your doing everything correctly your just copying them into your itunes files. Therefore when you delete them they will still be on your computers C drive but just not on itunes.

yes, just click on where the music is on your ipod and hit delete, it will delete it from your ipod and not from i tunes

you can move them to a different folder on your pc. then itunes will sync only the ones in the itunes folder

yes - it's possible. make sure that you update your ipod manually and if you don't make sure you take it off of automatic
