I honestly think they work overtime to find and feed on misery in their lives. It is like a demented hobby.

Oh God the list goes on and on for why some people are so miserable and the main thing is that they refuse to do anything about what made them miserable in the first place instead they try to get a little company to be just as miserable as they are.

in this world life is hard.war violence.people are victimized.the list is endless and most people dont have a hope.unfortunatly at times peoples religion offer no answers or bad ones like god did it or god wants us to go through it.most people only think this life is all there is.but i have a hope.it is in the bible.soon all this pain will be gone.i think if people knew this there would be light at the end of the tunnel.read revelation 21:3-5.this is not a heavenly hope but one for all here on earth to live forever on the earth.a place where the dead will be brought back and we will be able to live in peace.pass that to those in need of hope.

Because the world is falling apart and everyone wants to nuke eachother. People are miserable because they need Jesus to save them and they need to realize that everything happening in the world right now was foretold by Him and He will save us from it, too. That's why I'm not miserable.

People put money and possessions before happiness, they think money and possessions are happiness, we have more now, than at any other time in history. More money, labour saving devices, food, and healthcare, but we have less trust, social interaction and more fear. We need to build community and confidence in people and have better help for people with emotional problems, not wait until they are beyond help on drink and drugs. In short people would be better off with less stuff and money and would be happier with better social interaction.
Say something nice to someone every day, and mean it, then things might start to change.

Mental illness in one form or another, affects most of the population. If it does not affect you, you do not react to it. When a person is "High on life", for instance, you think it is alright. But when a person is "Really down and out", then you think something is dreadfully wrong. But you know what? Both are mental illnesses. And in one instance, Manic depressive, they happen to the same person.
Mental illness is the answer to your question.
