99.9 isn't dangerous nor is it considered 'fever' in a 9 month old. 104 deg rectally is 'fever'. BUT temp is only one factor to look at. How is he acting? Any other symptoms? If he's acting/eating/eliminating normally he's probably just bundled up a bit too much. Remember, after the first couple months, if you are comfortable then your baby should be comfortable in similar clothing to you.
If he has other symptoms (unconsolable crying, listlesness, refusing to eat/drink, not passing urine) then call your pediatrician, they'll question you and help you decide what needs done if anything.

If you took the temp under the arm add 1 degree, rectal subtract 1 degree. I take my 9mo old's under the arm. It is safer. You can harm their rectal if inserted to far. So under the arm it would be 100.9 degrees. Low grade fever, but give him .8 of the infant Tylenol. You do not want it to start climbing. If it climbs after an two hours of the Tylenol give the baby infant's Motrin 1.25 dropper. Those can be rotated. Motrin every 6 and Tylenol every 4 hours. (About every two hours rotate the two med. ......only at high temps....102 and up). No need to go to the hospital right now. If it gets 102 and up and will not come down take him to the hospital.

No, my daughter has had temperatures much higher. The best thing to do is call your childs pediatrician and ask if there is a specific temp that you should be concerned. In the mean time make sure that he is getting enough fluid. If he starts acting strange then you can start to worry, but 99.9 is really not high.

99.9 degrees is fine for you child. Anything about 100.4 I would call the doc and ask... honestly I think at 9 months it might even be 101... but I would call the doc only if it is above 100 degrees. 99.9 would be a small fever, but nothing to worry about.

I would call the doctor, just to be on the safe side. My 13 month old had a fever of 102.8-103.6 (taken rectally)for 3 days straight before they took her and they said that wasnt a very high fever for a baby. But, I would definitely call the doctor.

not yet, fever is the bodies natural ability to fight infection, the body heats up to temperatures that kill viruses, at 101 degres give the baby some tylenol to bring it down a few degrees, if it persists for more than 1 and a half days then take him in, but again im not a doctor so use your own judgement

give him tylenol ifhe seems fussy. rectally is the way to take a babies temp. you do not subtract anyhting,if it was rectally that is the temp. and it is not at all a high temp. do not worry just keep an eye on other symptons.my baby is 9 months and has had a few high temps. if u are worried about his breathing or anything besides that low temp. than you could call your dr. good luck!

I believe 101.4 is the magic number for baby's 4 months to 1 year. Keep your eye on it.
You can give Motrin (ibuprofen) and Tylenol (acetaminophen) on a rotating two hour schedule to keep it down or give a cool bath, but remember to keep giving fluids to avoid dehydration. That is all they will do at the hospital and the baby will be more comfortable at home.

He is FINE, anything under 100 is not considered a fever. Plus, you need to subtract 1 degree for a rectal temp.

If you took it rectally than you should take 1 degree off. Now the doctors say that unless the child has 103+ or just isn't being itself than don't bother bringing him in. You be the judge, does he seem himself? Be smart!
