Everything is expensive these days, it was only a matter of time before ticket prices went up. I think he raised ticket prices and parking prices to help pay for the players salaries as well as for renovations being done to the stadium. I mean, where else do they get the money from? They sign players to huge contracts and we as fans end up paying their salary. Its funny to hear people say "well I'm not paying their salary" after their team signs a big player.

However, the Dodgers are still one of the only teams that offer decent seats at somewhat affordable prices when compared to other teams.

I usually go to about 25 or 30 games a season but not this time. I love the Dodgers and love going to Dodger Stadium but I'll be watching most of the games from my living room this season.

Because he can.

It's called inflation, and it's a part life, a part of every part of life.

You do know, of course, that you don't have to buy anything to eat when you're at a game. You can't have to buy an souveniers at a game. You don't have sit right behind or beside or between the dugout(s) at a game.

There are lots of things that you can do and not do to go to a number of MLB games a year and to not spend a huge amount of money, including, for mot people, sitting in the bleachers.

If you want to complain about the costs of going to a ball game, then you're come to the wrong place. Let me tell you about what it costs me to go to game.

I have multiple types of arthritis and as a result, I'm in chronic pain. I also can't walk very far unaided, so I use a walker to get around. And I can't climb stairs, even without my walker. That means that I can't sit in the bleachers, and I can't sit in the usual seating areas. There are only three area in which I can sit, and there are two prices for these seats - last season these were roughly $42 and $48 per ticket, and I can't buy them over the internet. I can't even get prices for them over the internet. I take my food with me, and I take bottles of ice water with me. I take public transit (yes, it's a paratransit service, but even before I need that, I took public transit - it's easy in my city) and the one game that I went to on my own in 2006 cost me more than $50. That's for one person and out of a monthly disability income of just more than $900.

DON'T GO COMPLAINING TO ME ABOUT EXPENSIVE TICKETS TO BALLGAMES!!

Nomar got a raise...someone has to pay for it. As long as we keep shelling out the money...it's time to resurrect Nancy Reagan's mantra, "JUST SAY NO!"

1st, he is too cheap
2nd, he wants to build a new stadium for the Dodgers.
Is that reason enough ?
