Nope...monkeys and apes didn't even start out this way...there were anthropoids millions of years in our own history...and these anthropoids COULD have had similar ancestors...
So it is not that man came from apes or monkeys...it is that man, ape and monkey may have come from similar species...some scientists think it may have been something like the Pygmy lemur...like the littlest lemur from MADAGASCAR (the movie...you know, "me, me.....I'm steak.")...
It's a theory...the whole argument is pretty moot if you ask me...

"started out"? Try still are. Even monkeys and apes know that questions dealing with religion and science are no place for the "Music" section of Yahoo! Answers.

It appears this is a truth but it does not take away the possibility of the Spirit but it does change many of the things that religon likes us to believe. The Spirit is there and all books concerning what he is all about from the different religions have truths within them. Its up to us to figure it out. The scientists are correct as well. Looking forward to when Religioin and Science learns to get together and really come up with some facts :-)

If you mean through evolution then maybe. But I gave birth to 5 children and they did not look like monkeys and then turn into people.

If you want to believe in evolution and go back to the beginning, humans came from the sea and are therefore related to fish, which evolved into beings similar to monkeys and so no.
The Bible states that God made man in his image and I doubt that God ever looked like a guppy!

If that were the case - why would there still be monkeys and apes around?
