THis is a pretty funny question for me to come across since I have experienced this exactly thing. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, My husband worked all day while I stayed home, There was nothing really to do except for go bowling and we did all the time! I think it should be fine if she know what she is doing. Has she ever bowled before or will she be learning. If she has bowled in the past I think things should go fine, she'll know how to hold herself correctly and comfortably and most likely will know herself how hard she should throw the ball so that she won't pull any muscles. I bowled up until I was about 8 months pregnant. I was fine. I eventually couldn't play as long as I could when I had started to when I was pregnant but I was still able to. I think she should be fine really!!! Hope you all have fun and congrats on your soon to be!!!

Your gonna get a few answers to this one and some will say sure and some no's! I'd suggest calling her doctor and asking him/her just to be on the safe side. My daughters bowl on tuesdays afternoon and in April they are having something were parents can bowl with them for free just for some fun. I'll be around 6 months preggers by then and am worried about bowling myself. Not really the ball part but mainly the worry im gonna slip up on that floor! I've seen a grown adult play 'superman' cuz of the slick lanes.. So really just check cuz ya never know. Good Luck

I love to go bowling with my husband and son and when I found out I was five weeks pregnant, I asked my doctor if it was ok to continue because we had plans to go bowling on New Years Eve. He said it's great exercise and perfectly fine to do even late into pregnancy, but the further along one gets, the harder it may be (getting tired easier, moving around with a larger belly, balance may be off, etc.). And I wouldn't worry about getting a six pound kiddie ball...the eight or ten pound ones would be fine. Honestly, two bags of groceries would probably weigh that much. If you or she is really concerned though, the best thing to do is ask the doctor. Good luck and have fun.

people think because were pregnant were weak!!! and that comes from the majority of pregnant women, hehe...we can carry up to 25 pounds, and more if were up to it, as long as we lift right, now im 8 months pregnant, and i went bowling on friday, no problem, granted im not as great anymore, because the belly tends to get in the way of bending over to aim, and all i just ask the counter for a 8 lb ball, and i bowl, very fun, dont let pregnancy ruin anything, its a natural thing, gosh i dont think the cave women gave up cooking those terodactoes (sp) just because they were knocked up...have fun!!!!

bowling is fine when pregnant.. i have gone bowling up till a week prior to me delivering. I used to live in alaska and that was all there was to do for fun... so i started bowling at 6 months and my doc said it was perfectly safe, just use the lightest ball she can and everything should be great

Bowling is one of the sports approved by P.A.B.L.A.
(Pregnant And Bored Ladies Association)
If you are still bored you can also try some light kickboxing or bungee jumping.
Knock it off you two. It might be okay, but what if? Go for a walk or a drive or a picnic or SOMETHING.

If she is having a normal pregnancy, then yes. If she has a high risk pregnancy, then she should be careful. Her doctor would really be the best to answer this. I bowled through a couple of my pregnancies and was fine - but it's different for everyone.

I bowled from my 2nd trimester on out; with all my pregnancies. She should pick a light weight ball.....and be careful not to twist in any way and not suddenly. If she should start to feel uncomfortable back off and rest or quit.
