Tenderness and slight fever.
MMR vaccine as well as the FLU vaccine have an egg base for the serum. I am 28 yrs. old and allergic to eggs. Therefore I have not and cannot receive either injection. I was exsposed to mumps but nothing happened. It is something you will want to discuss with your doctor.

I am a mom of three, and they all had MMR shot, and the only thing they got was a low grade fever and a sore place where the shot was given.

I just had a baby and found out that I wasn't immuned to Rubella even though I had the shot as a child. I got the shot after the baby but the doctor screwed up or something. My daughter got the shots and all she was was a little fussy and sore but tylenol will help and it also makes them sleep.

Please REALLY think before you vax...you can always vax later but can NEVER take it back! Also, "just a fever" IS a reaction...the body is FIGHTING something that was just injected into it, think about it! Vaccines are NOT safe. Do your research! MMR is the WORST!
Measles, Mumps, & Rubella are common childhood illnesses & should not be feared. Children die from vaccines. Again, RESEARCH!

No problems at all here. It is scary when you hear all the bad things that can happen, but those reactions are VERY rare. It would be much worse for your child to catch one of these diseases that are potentially fatal. Vaccinations are truly a blessing and we are lucky to have access to them. I wish that they had had the chicken pox shot when I was a kid so that I hadn't had to suffer with those at 16!!!

My daughter was miserable for about 6 hours after her first set of vaccines but had no other ill effects. My son cried for about a minute and was fine.

My children never had any reactions to vaccinations. I considered not vaccinating but when I discussed it with my parents, my father told me about his friend who was healthy but got mumps and died. After that I just got them. I don't think I want to risk my child's life. :)

http://www.thinktwice.com/mmr.htm scroll down a bit and there are accounts of reactions. Please look into this, research, just don't take blanket statements from people here that their kid had it and they are fine.

edited to add this link, these are vaccine reaction reports of mmr, scroll down a little-there's a lot to dig through! http://www.medalerts.org/vaersdb/findfield.php?LOWAGE=&HIGHAGE=&SEX=&STATE=&PRIOR_VAX=&VAX_DATE_LOW=&VAX_DATE_HIGH=&CUR_ILL=&VAX=MMR&VAXDOSE=&VAXMAN=&VAXROUTE=&VAXLOT=&VAXSITE=&ONSET_DATE_LOW=&ONSET_DATE_HIGH=&REPORT_DATE_LOW=&REPORT_DATE_HIGH=&SYMPTOMS=&HISTORY=&L_THREAT=&ER_VISIT=&DIED=&HOSPITAL=&DEATH_DATE_LOW=&DEATH_DATE_HIGH=&X_STAY=&RECOVD=&LAB_DATA=&DISABLE=&OTHER_MEDS=&V_ADMINBY=&V_FUNDBY=&PAGENO=1&PERPAGE=10
