Hi I received an Ipod Mini for a gift and I dont really know that much about it. I got it a couple of years ago and lost most of the stuff including the disk. Is there anyway I can purchase a new disk or do I HAVE to use the one that came with the ipod??

An ipod mini was a great gift especially if you love music. Ipod mini is what i currently have. My friend wondered the same question and we tried using a different disk and it didn't work as well as we expected but thats because her computer sucks. So all i can say is i would try it and see what happens cause it certainly wont hurt it. Just make sure you dont lose ur USB hookup

I think you sort of have to get a new disc and manual. Go to apple.com and ask.... most likely they dont have either of those because they stopped making mini i-pods but if you know anyone then ask them. or if someone you know, knows someone then ask to come to your their house. hope that works!

Go to apple.com and download iTunes.
after that, go to http://www.apple.com/support/ipod101/
to learn about using the iPod
