I have listened to music from the 50s and up to the present and have arrived to this observation. Bands now will label their music a certain category and style but they have lifted beats and styles from bands of yesteryear. They will just rename an existing musical style a different one and claim originality.

I have an identical tastes to you - however then I am over a decade older than you! I do not consider this iteration is killing rock tune, although it isn't to my style... tune will pass complete circle, and extra conventional anthemic rock will come again circular at a few factor. There are nonetheless plenty of bands round, however they do not get the equal insurance plan. I bought really into Matchbox 20 at one factor... Aerosmith are nonetheless going robust too... and there are quite a lot of talks happening with older bands approximately reforming. As for being troubled that the ones bands are not making new documents... supply them a holiday - such a lot of the ones blokes are of their 50s, 60s or even 70s now!! Myspace is a well location to seek out new bands... or bands of the style you favor, simply use the seek role and opt for conventional or rock. Agony Anna
