Is goat milking something new for you??? Maybe you need practice or a technique. Even milking cows by hand takes practice before you get the hang of it. Try these sites....http://minnesotagoats.org/ OR: http://fiascofarm.com/goats/how_to_milk_a_goat.htm this last site actually has a questions and answers page especially for your question. All I did was type in "how to milk a goat" and I got a ton of sites up. The latex glove idea is good, just so the latex doesn't irritate the goats udder. Good luck!

Well, when you milk the goat, it is important that you can clearly see the udder. So I would recommend lying down flat under the goat with your hands at the udders. This way you can see exactly what's going on down there and use better technique. Also, try licking your hands before milking, this will allow for more movement during the milking.
Good Luck!
