You want a publisher program. It allows you set the parameters of both your grammer and spelling as well as format.

I personally love a word processor called RoughDraft. It is simple, allows you to manage several open files easily, and has a great little notepad section off to the side so you can have an outline or notes visible too. I absolutely swear by it!

Actually, I do all my writing on paper in a notebook(it feels so much more natural and personal), then I just print it out on Microsoft word.

I'm not sure if "WordPerfect" is still available but I was always able to do more with it than I was able to do with "Word".
