Jimmy has fond memories of Miles Road, it's where in the late 1950s and early 60s he jammed with his friends, such as John Gibb and a certain Jeff Beck.

It's an anagram of Jimmy's school friend Sam Dorlie

I don't know that there is any significance to either Eric Clapton or Jimmy Page. The song appears to be an old blues song that was recorded with the two of them playing as part of the "BluesBreakers Sessions" or "The Immediate All-Stars".
Part of the rift for many years between Jimmy and Eric came from the fact that Eric blamed Jimmy for the tapes of many of these songs recorded at Immediate Records being released (he felt Jimmy did it for the money). Jimmy claimed he was forced to turn the tapes over to Immediate Records due to a legal contractual clause. The rift was not "mended" until the ARMS concert when they finally played together onstage again for the first time in years.
