You might be surprised to find the degree to which races have mixed over time. People with seemingly caucasoid features could, in fact have a black ancestor somewhere along the family genealogy and vice versa. There are multiple situations such as two black parents that had, not one, but two caucasoid-in-appearance children that supports this as well. Many, many children are 'mixed' and no one would know it unless they obtained biological samples to say otherwise. With the exception of very remote civilizations, it's not likely that a population will remain completely homogeneous. Perhaps the spreading out and intermingling of races will bring about increased tolerance and appreciation toward all people. I sure hope so.

I personally don't think It's "wrong", because everywhere you or I go, we will experience racism of some sort, however their might be more "hate crime" in a majority raced community. If anything, you could show the people that did make racist comments to you that being mixed is NOT a bad thing whatsoever and to completely those who even think or say anything about your race. I think it would have been best to talk to him about it as well, and let him know how this makes you feel uncomfortable. I kind of know you feel, however. I'm Caucasian and I went to a school for a year where it was 90% Hispanic. I met some friends who were white and some who were Hispanic. I felt like the odd one out but I don't think it was wrong of my parents, just something different. I was glad that they did, so I could become more exposed to different cultures. In addition, ALL cultures of ALL races experience racism. Including whites. I don't know the statistics of white versus other races of racism though. And the fact you haven't met anyone who is white and dealt with racism, is because it sounds like the town you live in is predominantly white. This is not true for the rest of the other towns.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with that, and there are not too many mixed kids in the world today. Do you think so, since you're the one asking the question? I think that it shows that this world has finally progressed a little, and makes it a better place to be.

A product of love is something to be cherished and nurtured well and colour or race or whatever people make issues out of should be of no concern to two people who know their true feelings about each other. the kids you will have will definetely feel the love and know that what matter. i would actually prefer mixed kids because they will belong to both "worlds" making it impossible to hate either and dont we just need a peaceful people right now?
So its of no consequence except that you can stop people who have issues with colour and race from feeling that were. we try but its their choice and its them who suffer not us

Well cookie, no I do not think so. We all have to live on this planet what does the color of someone's skin or the grade of their hair have to do with anything? I don't consider two people of different races a mixed marriage. It's a marriage, God created us all equal. Not one above the other. The kids get two cultures which is a great thing. I am all for it.

I think its perfectly fine. My sister in law is white and her kids are half white and half black. Heck, my mother in law is white and my father in law is Jamaican. There is a lot of love in my family. Skin color doesnt matter its the character and heart that matter most. In today's time everyone has a mixture like an ethnic cocktail. You might be suprised whats in your bloodline. Heck Im half white half egyptian. It doesnt matter whats on the outside, in complete darkness we are all the same and we all don't bleed colored koolaid. I believe in sharing cultures and beliefs, that is the only way we can learn through tolerance and acceptance. Some people dont agree with it, those are the ones with questionable character. Love is color blind. As long as children are raised with love and turn out to be good citizens our world will be a better place.

Depends. You have to think of the kids. Are you living in a racist area where they are going to get harassed? Mixed kids don't fit in well with any race. Plus if someone who is white has kids with someone who is really black the kids can come out with that skin condition that makes them speckled. I forget what it is called. All told you are setting your kids up for a lot of heartache on top of all the other BS that kids have to go through. I think it would be pretty selfish of you to that just so you can have a relationship with one guy and not another.

I personally think it's a BEAUTIFUL thing, but I saw someone on here complaining that they were mixed and they had "no choice" or whatever and they blamed their parents for "bringing" them into the world mixed but then again that might have been the way they were raised (spoiled), but anyway if you are skeptical to it then maybe you shouldn't do it because you don't want to end up hating your own child

Why does it matter? I do not think couples of mixed race should abstain from having kids solely on that reason.
