I agree with you invisible 1 .When we are surrounded by happy,kind,loving,people as yourself it tends to rub off on others.
Other hand when you are surrounded by negative,depressed people it will have a negative effect on your emotions as I have seen this happen first hand with a loved one who battled with depression most of their life.It was very hard for me to always remain the optimist I am.It took alot out of me as this person constantly needed reassurance,comforting and attention.
After a few years it started to drain on me and I started to wonder if this person wanted to be this way. I was always there and helped this person the whole way through their depression.Do you know why? Not just because that is how I am, but more importantly because this person was my sister.
She now thanks me for being there for her during her depression and as my reward it has drawn my sister and I much closer together and that is more than I could ever have imagined.
