and the most of the schools had to be close down. I live in Tx we are not use to it. but I notice that all around the state it been very cold, how long are the schhol close and when do they make it up the days I mean....

they'll be closed until all the roads in your district are clear,even the rural routes.They'll make the days up either at spring break or at the end of the school year;but most schools set aside for so many snow days and as long as they don't surpass those snow days they won't have to make them up.

i live in Myrtle Beach, SC. and we have the best weather in the country! well, most of the time... it has been very warm this whole winter season- 60s-70s and beautiful!
and now a little cold air is moving in but no chance of snow! we haven't had snow in a few years and even then, it was just flakes falling. I was wishing for just a little to excite us.
we are very fortunate that we have such good weather around here! that's why it's such a vacation hotspot and golfing captial of the south!

I live in Michigan where we tend to get a lot of snow. Schools are usually alotted a set amount of "snow days" per season where they don't have to make it up ( I think it is only 2 or 3 days). Anything more is made up at the end of year which means a longer school year.
