don't let them spoil your birthday. Don't go out clubbing if you have to pay for everthing, whilst it's a nice thought, you'll end up worried about how much you are spending and unless your rich, money and friends don't mix. If you are still keen on going out, this is the best possible solution i think when it comes to friends and money. Don't just buy them drinks all night, buy one or two if you like, but lend them a set amount of money at the beginning of the night so that everyone knows what they are borrowing and can pay it back later, instead of trying to work out who had what a week later. Happy birthday for friday, if they are not in a talkative mood or don't really get along, don't worry, it's your night, even if you end up going out, try and mingle with new people and make some more friends, it'a not quantity its quality.

God, isn't there some really crap advice above eh? Ditch your friends and go on your own eh? Yeah, go out on your own, what a party!!! It's hard, but so is making a camp fire when all you have is soggy wood! You just don't have the materials to have a good night out unless you throw something else into the mix. What can that be? Karaoke? A pub with a theme night or something stupid like that velcro walk that you jump at and stick to. Something that can involve non drinking, non talking fun, strippers, comedians, hell I don't know it's going to depend on where you live. If you're in a big city, easy, if you're in a hole like Barrow-in-Furnes, GOD help you ;-) Maybe you can just have fun at your friends expense, and every time you have to go to the bar to get a drink for the pair of freeloaders, tell some sad loser that one of your mates really fancies fancies them, but is too shy to do anything about it, and get your mates persecuted by mingers all night !!
Sorry, I'm trying really hard here, as I really feel for you!

Then why go. If you have already decided it is going to be a bore and you are the one paying for it then just stay home and rent a movie and get a bottle of wine. Curl up with a good book and just decide it is not that important at the moment. You are going to have many other birthdays.
Or
Go by yourself and enjoy yourself with a nice meal. Spend the money on you you you not on your friends. You dont need to get picked up or pick up someone else. Just enjoy the evening and kick back and smile.
Its up to you to make the day as YOU want it to be...Its your day not anyone elses.

Then you should not go with them to a night club if you even have to pay for their fee or drinks. If they are boring, why hang out with them? Maybe they are with you because you are not boring and want to be like you, but are too shy?
Instead of going to a nightclub, try going bowling or skating.

Drink before you go. it always works, it warms everyone up to get hyped. plus it's cheaper then in the club. That's what all my friends normally do. Then you have a blast after you guys are a little tpsy, Everyone'll just be less shy and more outgoing with just the 3 of you.
Have fun, but have someone who hasn't drunk drive for you guys;-)
Happy Birthday

this all comes out foriegn to me. you have 2 friends - you have nothing in common with.
your going to a nightclub, which is supposedly designed for fun.
your going to a club with 2 people you don't talk to, just so you can talk with them at a club - and it's your birthday, and your paying?
i think you should look over friends more carefully. and really, if all you plan to do is talk on your birthday, you can do that anywhere.

I guess if your payen then maybe you guys should drink before you go to the club...that's what we do when we are broke......also usually people tend to loosen up after a couple drinks, so maybe your friends will "talk more' ....also tell your friends that since it your b-day & your the one payen then they better act like best friends............that can you your b-day present from them.......other than that your on your own........maybe you can meet some new friends also.

If you have an imagination then you can make it fun with them especially if you're in a nightclub.
The problenm with them not speaking is bad though - maybe you need to speak to them about it.
Apart from that - get partying with a drink game or depending how comfortable you are get drunk and have fun maybe...

It seems like you need to expand your social life a bit. Try to meet new people as soon as possible. Why don't you try to find somebody to hang out with somebody tomorrow (without ditching your friends, of course, because they have probably been there for you when you needed them).
