Two days ago, my friend and I were horseplaying and he ended up falling on top of me, sending me crashing down onto the tile floor head first. I landed on the left side of my head. I didn't lose consciousness, and I got back up quite easily. The only thing is that the side of my head hurt and for the past two days, it's been hurting on the left side of my head. It's more of a throbbing pain and whenever I try to concentrate to study, I can only manage about 1 hour before I can't concentrate anymore. Should I be worried about this? Should I get it checked? Or is it okay and I can just leave it alone?

You could have a mild concussion. Have someone look at your eyes and check your pupils in light. If they aren't the same size, get to the ER. Also, if you hurt the tissue on your head it will hurt. You should have gone right away probably...call the nurse at the ER and talk to them. They may reffer you to a Dr. or tell you to come in. If you are dizzy or off balance Go. Only you can really make the decision. If you haven't had any problems like this before you might want to go. It's been 2 days so if anything is going on it's slow, so decide if it's really out of your norm and then make a decision. Call the nurse and ask their opinion too, it may make you feel better. This is really a question for family and friends, don't drive yourself if you do go ok? I wish you well.

Yes, you should have a mild concern at first. I am not a M.D., though I have been involved in many 'health' situations due to my work as a lifeguard and social services worker. You may have a hematoma-swelling of the brain in this case-and I believe that you should have an MRI or CAT-Scan of your brain/head to make sure you don't have internal bleeding or only a bad concussion. Do not leave this alone! ANY TIME THE Brain is involved, there is cause for concern. Please get this checked by professionals, If I was you, I'd go to the Emergency room at your local hospital, and ask for these tests or whatever the Dr. recommends for your case.

Well, it good be a light concussion, or it could just be a bruise there. Sometimes a "subdural hematoma" can show up. That's a pool of blood in your brain. It can be detected by an MRI...I'd go to the doctor and make sure you're okay.

Chihuahuas typically have "open fontanels" or "smooth spots" on their skulls, a useless ringer for human newborns do. If a Chihuahua receives hit on the pinnacle, it may certainly get mind harm. Your canine is in an emergency difficulty and could be taken to the vet.

Please get it checked because you need your brain. Go to the Dr ASP and tell him you want a CAT SCAN and an MRI done. You may have something going on. Also I recommend that you see a Head Trauma doctor and a Neurologist.

no...you bruised your head. Relax put ice on it it'll get better...kind-of a stupid question to ask if you ask me. If it keeps up for like a week or 2 go see a doctor

If you haven't passed out or seeing things funny, you'll be fine. Time will heal your sore head.
