What a question. You're never going to get the "right" answer, just the rambling beliefs of whatever religion the person answering is a member of.

well.. my opinion, i think God created the universe. But some people thinks it is the Big bang which i don't think it is because how could something amazing just appeared with a bang? our world didn't come by accident.Or, think of it this way, things around u like a watch u are wearing was there because some1 have designed it. Everything has a designer and therefore i think simple things like that have designers, would u not think the world is made by a designer? The designer is God.

The Earth was the result of congealment of the matter that was produced from many stars that exploded are releasing their "star stuff" into the universe after the "Big Bang". - If you don't believe that theory - there is no reason to read further.
When a large enough sun had grip of all this matter it started to exert it's gravity of these "globs" of matter - which by thier very size congealed even further into either solid forms (like the earth) of gasous objects (like jupiter- saturn - neptune, and uranus).
Through the EON's Earth was lucky enough to be at the exactly right distance from the sun to be in a position to give rise to a system that has all the possibilities of supporting life - liquid water an atmosphere with the right mix of chemicals.
That's the explaination in a nutshell - too much infomation in this forum is inappropriate (I think).

This dude named god, he got some bad tamales from the corner store and got bad constipated. He finally went to the bathroom and took a dump. POOF there was the earth. Once that was out he continued and all the animals,plants and people fell out onto the earth. That is why if you read the bible, you feel like crap, because it tells you all you are and ever will be is a piece of shite. So dont read it.

Best way to describe it, i believe, is this:
God being so grand (litterally) as he is, felt the need to explore and learn more about himself and creation. He exploded himself into trillions of pieces, each piece learning and experiencing aspects of life.
