It's partially from the pressure of the baby on your bowels and also from when you push that honey out. Sometimes after childbirth they minimize or may even go away. I bet women prego w/ twins would be more likely to get 'roids b/c there would be the pressure of two babies weight & placentas on the bowels.

I first got them after pushing out my first baby. Then they came back towards the very end of my pregnancy with my second. Then with my third I got them again at the middle of my pregnancy and the bigger I got the worse they got. After delivering they were really bad. Usually they are caused from pressure or straining on your bottom.

I didn't get them for my first pregnancy but I'm in the third trimester of my second and Ive got them for the first time ever. The pharmacist said that it is really commen with pregnant woman.

I actually didn't get them until the third trimester with my first child, and that was b/c i was always constipated and the stupid stool softeners didn't work for me.. then give birth to my first child got me more... and with my second child I didn't get them till i gave birth once again.. i guess i push to hard or whatever.. i am hoping i don't get them with this child... i will cry... 'roids are so horrible. i hate them
