yankees are the best,
but the reason why yankees get the best players because they got the money from back in the day when yankees won like 3 world series in 4 years something like that i forgot and i'm too lazy to look it up. Like C'mon yankees right now are trying to keep it conservative because they're low on money since they haven't won a world series for a few years
btw, this year is the year
LETS GO YANKEES FCUK THE METS AND THE RESOX

I understand the undeniable fact which you're a Yankee fan, yet they are not "far greater powerful" than the Mets. The Mets at present have a greater powerful record and are in first place, putting them in a a lot greater powerful place. once you're argument is that the Yankees have had the main valuable franchise in baseball historic previous, then i could could desire to assert properly duh. thankfully, i do no longer survive historic previous so i do no longer likely care how many championships the Yankees have. The Yankees do have greater followers, yet which skill no longer something so some distance as skills on the sector is going. shall we go Mets!

I live in the Oakland area, and I'm a huge Yankees fan. I went to Yankees-A's season opener 4/3/06. Just a little background info, I'm in high school, and the game was in danger of being rained out because it had been raining the whole day. Here's a little poem I wrote about it the next week for a school assignment, and it applys now. Let's go Yanks!
“Yankees Rout”
Opening Day 2006,
I woke up with excitement
In my belly.
As I saw the rain outside,
My heart dropped.
Rainout.
Possibly.
All day, I hope that it
Stops raining,
Wearing my Yankees gear
In anticipation.
5:00.
No rain.
Yes!
My dad and I pack food
And camera
And binoculars
Travel by BART.
On the train,
Jealous A’s fans boo us.
My dad and I simply laugh,
Knowing that the game
Will shut them up.
Exhilaration of sitting down in my seat,
Seeing my favorite players on the Yankees,
Was remarkable.
Play ball!
RBI single.
2-RBI single.
Grand Slam.
7-0, Yankees lead.
“Why so quiet?” is what other Yankee fans and I say
To frustrated A’s fans,
Taunting them.
RBI single.
3-Run homer.
The hits go on.
Domination.
Final Score: Yankees 15 – A’s 2.
Best baseball experience of my life.

I have great passion and complete devotion to this team, I can't express in words why. I just do!
To everyone that Claims to hate and says the yankees suck are jealous. I say this because if any of these people played pro ball and were offered a contract to be a YANKEE, they would be the first on the plane to New York!!

I don't they are fatarse losers who buy all the best players and still don't win.
P.s. It's there are, not there is a millions reasons to love the yankees
(Low on money! They have the highest payroll in the MLB,and you beloved Steinbrenner is still so pissed he's about to go into cardiac arrest! Check your sources before using what little brain cells you have, Patrick N.!)
((If I was offered a job on the Yankees, I would play good for a year, and then a.ss around until they granted my request to be traded to the BoSox)

I'm sorry, I'm a diehard Red Sox fan and I have to admit, that is a serious bias. But I have to speak up.
I live near New York City, and 90% of the Yankee fans I've met know very little about the team themselves. They simply follow the team because they win. They're rich. And everyone else (barring my family and a very select few around us) loves them--for the same reasons. They see me wearing a Sox shirt and bombard me with "RED SOX SUCK! NANANANANA! YANKEES RULE! HAHAHAHAHA 26 WORLD SERIES!!! HAHA!" I'm so sick of that.
However, I have to admit, around Massachusetts, there are Red Sox fans just as bad and worse compared to what I experience. There are also perfectly decent Yankee fans who have a love not only for the winning and the money, but for the team, and, more importantly, the game of baseball.
I have great respect for many Yankee players; in fact, Derek Jeter is without question one of my favorite players in the MLB. But overpaid, overrated and over-inflated players such as Alex Rodriguez drive me crazy. Seriously, that man just makes me pull my hair out.
All in all, as a biased Red Sox fan, I can't say there's a lot to love about the Yankees. But, for you intelligent Yankee fans--I'm sure you're out there somewhere, I just haven't met many of you in person--I have nothing against you. As long as you love the Yankees because you love baseball, not because you love the richie-rich image and the 26 championships, you can have your opinions.
But I have mine. :)

Because they are the 1st baseball team I started watching and because of their history and the fact that they've won 26 titles. No other team in any other sport can come close.Since i live in houston there are a lot of haters here, even though i like the astros also,i am 10000000000x more devoted to the yankees.

How do I love thee, let me count the ways....
I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.
-Tennyson
In other words, I can not truly explain my feelings for this team be it the triumphs and the heartbreaks
My answer...Because they are the New York Yankees.
