We didn't give it that name, the food processors did. I guess they picked a name that would sell (it's better than "Mexican Bacon").

Canadian bacon is guaranteed to taste good as Canadian beef is. Now Canadian roadkill is another thing! LOL Try the porcupine or gophers au gratin!

Okay, again, it's all advertising. The makers wanted Americans to buy it and they gave it a foreign name. Anything with a foreign name here sells. Like French fries!
