Is it because they are so insecure about themselves? I've seen some girls without any makeup and i can tell u, they look like ****, lol.

Alright, I was not expecting these many answers but it's funny how all those girls saying that i'm an *** are the real insecure ones. I DIDN'T say all girls without makeup are ugly ok. I said the ones i've seen...so calm the heck down..lol. And I think that the girls that don't wear makeup should be proud cuz at least they don't worry about what others think. Anyway, I got my answer...so thanks everyone ;).

I'm 17 and I personally wear makeup because: 1. To look older: I look quite young for my age and I feel like this helps me look older and therefore help me feel more my age and more confident. 2. It is fun: I personally LOVE doing my makeup in the morning. lol that is why i wake up in the morning! haha. I Just love playing around with everything. It is really just an art form...art on your face! A lot of girls have a passion for this. Sometimes it makes me feel pretty (well that is the way it is with most girls) but I do have other reasons such as the ones I listed above. It is just a fun hobby that I love to play around with.

A good 95% of girls wear make up for themselves. They wear it to feel good about themselves and make all there features the more noticeable. I, personally, don't wear make up because 1. It looks uncomfortable, 2. I think I look fine 3. It takes time to do that crap and 4. Make up is bloody expensive. And you were being plan rude because EVERY girl is beautiful and any smart girl with more that an eighth a brain cell can tell that your opinion means nothing.

It's out of being insecure and that their hormones make them think they have to be socially accepted. And about the one saying we should say you're pretty more often. Well guys sure as hell do a lot more for girls.We pay on dates,but the stuff that you don't need,let you steal our jackets,endure when you cry while christina aguilera is singing,and a bunch of other stuff.All you do is keep whining when you get a zit...At least a thank you every once in a while.Or oh I don't know pay me back the money I spent on you at the mall

some girls wear it cuz they're insecure about themselves ... they normally wear makeup to cover up acne aswell .... but seriously I suffer from eczema and I have dry patches and really bad spots and blotches all over my face and I don't wear makeup to cover it all up cuz to be honest I don't really care about how I look , its not about what u are on the outside its about what u are on the inside .... and why would u want to wear makeup anyway it ruins ur skin ....

It depends on who it is. Some wear it simply because they think its fun and like to play with the color or think of it as face art. others wear it because they feel insecure and don't want to show their natural beauty because they think they don't have that natural beauty, which is crazy, because everyone is beautiful in their own little way. And, personally i think it;s fun to have flaws they make you different and unique. Being different and your own person is what makes you so beautiful. if everyone were the same this worl would be so boring.

It depends on the girl you ask...But I think the traditional use of makeup in our society is to emphasize certain features and hide others...to also cover up blemishes and other flaws in the skin. Personally I'll do with mascara and chapstick, but the idea of war paint sounds a lot more fun.
