i don't think they're actually gonna do it but i've been to iraq twice already and might be going back a third time so the draft doesn't matter to me.

The war won't be for another few years. Hopefully, by then I will be older and I will have a job that I really cannot be taken away from. But I don't think women will be apart of the draft, again. *shrug* Besides I have been waiting to leave the country. Once I graduate! I might!

There will be no draft.

Such methodology cannot provide the quality of personnel required for today Armed Forces.

Most of what you hear about an "imminent draft bill" is propaganda by those in your government seeking to foment discontent.

Unfortunately all of the nay saying for political gain has the effect of getting soldiers killed.

It seems that many of us are willing to accept such rubbish in spite of what common sense should tell us.

How's all this working out for you?

If things go as planned, we will be attacking Iran within the year. That will be the explosion heard round the world, and for that we will need a draft. They will carefully set it up to look like we had no choice, and just as they doing now, they will say we can't pull out now or this situation will get even worse; "it is us against them!"

A draft will be political suicide for anyone who enacts it. People will freak, even many Republicans and military people, if Bush does push an Iranian war.

I signed up for selective service after I exited the Army. I was 17 when I joined the military. I served my years with honor, and would do it again.
