song help, sounds 80s / sorta dire straits-ish?

song help, sounds 80s / sorta dire straits-ish?

no lyrics got, but middle synth bit sounds like plugged up trumpet and goes 'wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa' up a scale if u understand, playing 9 consectutive notes going up. really bugging me heard this years ago and loved it and contacted radio station but no joy there

Here's a link to Frampton singing "Show Me the Way," but to me it sounds a little different than the album/radio version...this one is live, but perhaps you'll be able to tell if it's what you're describing.
